How can we turn the internet into a tool for development and transformation rather than virtual consumerism and promotion of narcissism?
By building, creating, sharing, collaborating, engaging, participating, partaking, empathizing and much, much more. Here’s another one of my feeble attempts to take jabs at the transactional, entertainment-based internet of today, by re-purposing a script that resembles the FMyLife one, yet not the intent of sharing outrageous pubescent stories, or misfortunes, but of that of sharing and discussing empowering anecdotes that can encourage, guide, and brighten up the lives of most who read them.
Anecdotals.com , one of our newest online websites and transformative communities welcomes you.
We are also in the process of building from the ground up a blog for Anecdotals at: http://TeachMeHelpMe.com/Anecdotals.
Visit our Twitter Page: http://Twitter.com/anecdotalsweb Our Facebook page will also be online soon…. Join us in transforming the internet into a meaningful, inspirational tool for life and growth.

Transforming the Internet and Anecdotals.com
DocuSharing.com – A New Online Resource for Sharing, Reviewing, and Improving Documents and Writing in General
In addition to our work on DigitalSocialite microblogging script and upcoming online community, we’ve acquired another script which has some high potential. DocuSharing.com , after our intensive customization efforts currently underway, aims to enable anyone, including business partners, colleagues, friends, families, and students to post rough-draft assignments or documents to be read, rated, and commented on.
We believe that this Web 2.0 collaborative experience may help in improving writing and clarity as an end result. Students will surely find the writing process as a more engaging means to edit rough drafts.
One key element of the service we aim to continue with is that documents can be hosted, uploaded, and read by others visiting the site, but not downloaded or “appropriated” by others.
The script for DocuSharing.com will undergo some major customizations, and with some luck, there will be 3 different instances for it available to serve in different ways: DocuSharing.com will continue to provide the interactivity of peer editing, comments, and rating for all. DocuSharing.org will serve educational institutions, teachers, and students primarily. DocuSharing.net will allow for open sharing, uploading, and downloading of documents in addition to the commenting, and rating functions.
We would greatly appreciate any constructive comments or advice you can share on it: http://DocuSharing.com Thanks!
DigitalSocialite.com – A New, Intelligent Microblogging Community
Do you wish Twitter wasn’t so…. Haiku? Can it be damaging to the human psyche to be limited to communicate in short phrases that lack clarity, complexity, and helpful details? For the past few days we’ve undertaken a new project, to create a microblogging alternative to Twitter (now in beta stages) which allows 700 character posts, photo embedding in posts, and which encourages meaningful, transformative, edusocial, and intercultural
exchanges of ideas, thoughts, and comments. It is named DigitalSocialite, http://DigitalSocialite.com . While the popular microblogging service encourages meaningless chatter from anyone “who’s anyone” in the mass media stage, we want to redirect attention away from the glam and glitz of stardom, and into the depth, and meaning behind the posts. Indeed, anyone who thinks and shares meaningful information, thoughts, and comments on DigitalSocialite becomes a digital socialite, not because of the real-world fame, but because of the ideas shared and collaboration maintained with other like-minded members.
The intention for the upcoming DigitalSocialite community is on sharing transformative knowledge and experiences of an edu-social context, in a positive, intercultural, as well as multicultural – friendly online publishing and sharing platform.
Here’s our account on http://DigitalSocialite.com for more info: http://www.digitalsocialite.com/profile/1/TeachMeHelpMe.
Here’s a blog recently built here, on Teach Me Help Me Educational Services’ official page, for this new online service and community: http://teachmehelpme.com/digitalsocialiteblog/
We ask for your assistance in creating a better, more intelligent online community out there. Please share your constructive comments and suggestions below.
Thank you,

Teach Me Help Me Educational Services’ Online Services is Now Comprised of Twenty-Five Families of Free Online Services and Sites
Teach Me Help Me Educational Services has been offering onsite test preparation and literacy workshops through Irvine Valley College since 2007. In 2010, we’re expanding our on-site workshop locations to include Twin Peaks, California, centrally located midway between Wrightwood and Big Bear mountain resorts, and just 4 miles from Lake Arrowhead , California, an internationally renowned mountain resort community.
For some time now, we have been evaluating our hundreds of free, edu-social online sites and web-services into families of sites. Recently, we’ve categorized our sites into families and named each family based on the specific niche content and services each provides. From the very beginning we have envisioned taking part in creating the internet to be a more transformative technology tool in people’s lives all over the planet. We strongly believe that a ballanced internet is key to our planet’s progress and survival. We would like to see the internet’s priorities as:
1. Primarily known for providing tools for success and empowerment.
2. Secondarily known for information, entertainment and other elective pursuits.
We would like to believe that most of our sites fit in category 1 above.
Here is a list of our 25 transformative families of edusocial online websites and services, in no particular order:
1. Mountain Web Tools
2. EduSocial Web Tools
3. ESL Web Tools
4. Literary Web Tools
5. Teacher Web Tools
6. Student Web Tools
7. School Web Tools
8. Senior Web Tools
9. Tourism Web Tools
10. Music Web Tools
11. Business Web Tools
12. Internet Web Tools
13. Language Web Tools
14. Educational Web Tools
15. Forum Hosting Sites
16. Blog Hosting Sites
17. Photo Hosting Sites
18. MultiMedia Sites
19. Poll Hosting Sites
20. Online Article Sites
21. Online Game Sites
22. Online Postcard Sites
23. Link Directory Sites
24. Online Guestbook Sites
25. Online Chat Sites
Each of these families of sites now have their own specific blog within our TeachMeHelpMe.com site which identifies the different sites included in each family as well as helpful guidance, upcoming news, and information. In addition, each of our families of sites now have a Twitter page, where news, helpful links, and helpful tips are shared. In addition, we have created individual pages for each of our families on Facebook, in order to offer a constructive, collaborative, and interactive community for our visitors and members. Later in 2010, once we complete construction of our individual blog gateways for each of our families of online sites and services, we will consider additional social networking tools.
What are some of our planned online projects for 2010, providing there is sufficient growth in traffic to our websites, as well as peace and well being all around:
1. We would like to possibly add one or more servers, or transition to a web cluster for more capacity, and faster loading times.
2. Since our current revenue from our site advertising matches only about 3% of our monthly costs, not including the hundreds of hours spent managing our sites, we plan on reviewing various other advertising options, including on-site workshops for current and possible members interested in our various niche products and services. We may offer the option of adding additional web-space to our hosting site members who are interested, and are also looking at the possibility of selling website domains.
3. We’re highly interested in social media, especially keeping our eyes on Twitter, and aim to offer services for Twitter users who wish to get context-based Twitter feeds, as well as submit their tweets remotely and asynchronously. Also, we’re looking into putting together Web 2.0 and Social Media workshops to assist digital immigrants take their first steps in publishing on the internet.
4. We’re also highly interested in offering online chat, virtual world 3D communities, as well as in community and city portal established scripts, and aim to look into the feasibility of working with small communities and offering these as part of our EduSocial Web Tools services.
5. We’re continuing our quest for helpful Web 2.0 web scripts of tools and online-resources to adapt and offer in the upcoming future. Our goal is to offer 10 new online services and sites by the end of 2010 that would include # 3 and # 4 above as well.
We would greatly appreciate any constructive suggestions and advice from our site visitors and members, and remain available via our Skype account at: TeachMeHelpMe via voice-message or phone as well.
