The Writing Proccess Workshops

This accelerated workshop introduces the writing process and
enables beginning writers to gain confidence, experience, and
critical thinking skills. Students learn how to use prewriting,
writing, revision, and editing steps in the paragraph writing
process. Focus will be placed on getting, organizing, and
developing ideas, as well as sequence, transition, word choice, and
openings and closings in order to develop effective paragraphs.

For On-Site Workshops, there will also be online assignments that need to be completed
each week. We have partnered with Irvine Valley College Community Education since 2007, and you can view our upcoming schedule HERE.

For On-Line Workshops, the workshop course takes place online, via TeachMeHelpMe.org.

This Writing Proccess workshop series is ideal for English learners, reluctant and skills-lacking students, as well as students who are interested in developing writing skills and fluency in general.

SAT English Workshops

The SAT English Workshop Series prepares students who wish to
score high on the official SAT English section. The workshop will
cover in depth the critical reading section, where students will
learn about and practice sentence completion and passage-based
reading exercises. The workshop will also cover: vocabulary, the
writing section including the essay, identifying sentence errors,
improving sentences and paragraphs.

For On-Site Workshops, there will also be online assignments that need to be completed
each week. We have partnered with Irvine Valley College Community Education since 2007, and you can view our upcoming schedule HERE.

We will soon offer On-Line SAT English Workshops, via TeachMeHelpMe.org.

This workshop series is ideal for high school students preparing for the SAT College Entrance examination. This workshop can be especially beneficial to English learners, reluctant and skills-lacking students, as well as students who are interested in entering a 4-year university who need to brush-up or better understand the elements of this important assessment.

Critical Reading Workshops

The Critical Reading for Proficiency Accelerated Workshop Series
teaches 16 different grade-level critical thinking and reading skills
required from students on high stakes achievement tests. Students
will learn to draw conclusions, form judgments, distinguish facts
from opinions, and make predictions from reading material.

For On-Site Workshops, there will also be online assignments that need to be completed
each week. We have partnered with Irvine Valley College Community Education since 2007, and you can view our upcoming schedule HERE.

For On-Line Workshops, the workshop course takes place online, via TeachMeHelpMe.org.

There are 3 levels of our Critical Reading Workshops:

Critical Reading 1: Grades 4 – 6
Critical Reading 2: Grades 7 – 8
Critical Reading 3: Grades 9- 12

This workshop series is ideal for English learners, reluctant and Language Arts skills-lacking students, as well as students who have tested poorly on Language Arts tests, and those who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of fiction and non-fiction English text in general.
